Winter Market Schlossplatz at Humboldt Forum

Christmas Market in Berlin from 19 november 2025 to 04 January 2026

This year, the area around the Humboldt Forum is taking on a Christmas atmosphere. The new winter market on the historic Schlossplatz is bringing a merry atmosphere to Berlin's historic centre. Last time, the Ferris wheel and Christmas stalls were set up in front of the ruins of the Palace of the Republic.

In the heart of Berlin, the Schlossplatz square around the Humboldt Forum is transformed into an atmospheric winter wonderland. in keeping with the historical backdrop, there are plenty of arts and crafts to marvel at at the new winter market in the centre of Berlin. Historic fairground rides and merry-go-rounds entice younger visitors to enjoy the Christmas fun. And for the grown-ups, there are mulled wine specialities and all kinds of sweet and savoury Christmas delicacies.

A festive experience in a historic setting

A Christmas market awaits you between the baroque façades of the Schlüterhof, masterfully combining tradition, indulgence and modern staging. The square is particularly magical in the evening: light projections illuminate the architecture and immerse the area in a festive atmosphere. Stroll through the lovingly decorated rows of stalls. You are sure to find a piece of jewellery for your Christmas tree or an individual gift. Leather goods, wooden toys, paintings and cosy winter accessories are part of the diverse range on offer.

Stollen, champagne & arts and crafts

Over 150 stalls offer lovingly curated arts and crafts, gift ideas and culinary specialities from all over the world - from roasted almonds to exotic treats. A stylish champagne bar invites you to linger. A special highlight is the 30 metre long giant stollen from the Rösler bakery, which is baked according to a traditional recipe at the start of the winter market, made from over 50 kilograms of flour and six kilograms each of sultanas, candied orange peel, candied lemon peel, the finest almonds and, of course, a good portion of Berlin cordiality.

Stollen will be cut on 25 November at 12 noon - and all Berliners are invited to try it. Your donation will go to the Augenlicht organisation.

Laser show "Emotions in light & sound"

Every Tuesday and Thursday, a spectacular laser show transforms the Schlüterhof (at 6 pm) and the exterior façade of the Spreeterrassen (at 8 pm) into a magical world of light. Be part of this very special winter experience.
