The collection of photography ranges from the early days of photography to Pictorialism around 1900 and the New Vision of the 1920s to contemporary artistic positions. In the last few years alone, over 1 million visitors have flocked to see the exhibitions presented at the museum by the Kunstbibliothek’s Collection of Photography and the helmut Newton Foundation. These two institutions have 2000 square metres of exhibition space at their disposal in which to present exciting exhibitions on diverse topics in the history of photography.

This exhibition presents the artistic work of the world-renowned fashion photographer renowned fashion photographer Rico Puhlmann is honoured. Puhlmann documented in his work the central aspects of fashion history over of fashion history over 4 decades.
Permanent exhibition in the Museum of Photography Berlin: Helmut Newton's Private Property
The permanent exhibition "Private Property" on the first floor of the Museum of Photography shows a selection of used cameras, his own photo and art collection. In addition, Helmut Newton's library as well as parts of his office in Monte Carlo, the famous Newton-Mobile, exhibition posters and numerous publications of his photographs are on display.
