The Halensee Strand.Park.Restaurant
Stylish bathing in the heart of Berlin
A tranquil lake surrounded by shady greenery – and on the other side, an elegant terrace with a sandy beach, deck chairs and the gentle sound of whispering waves. At the Halensee Strand.Park.Restaurant, nature and urban flair merge into a moment of pause – perfect after a stroll along Ku'damm.
After a summer's day on Ku'damm, Das Halensee Strand.Park.Restaurant opens up a hidden chapter of Berlin - a touch of vintage flair combined with a modern feel-good ambience, a quiet expanse of water in the middle of the city: breakfast in a beach chair, coffee in the sun, swimming in a clear lake, evening atmosphere on the beach and moments for yourself, with a book and silence - far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The history
the legendary Lunapark opened here in 1909 - Europe's largest amusement park with rides, fireworks and even boxing matches, including one with Max Schmeling. Today's park is a modern continuation of this tradition: a place that offers Berliners and guests alike space to meet, enjoy and relax.
After being closed for many years, the lido was revitalised as Ku'damm Beach in 2016. After a delayed start to the 2025 season, it will finally open its doors again from 5 July 2025 - with restrictions on the restaurant and café, but with a reliable snack service and many days of swimming ahead of it.
