Odeon

Where one meets Tilda Swinton

The Odeon, being the first cinema in Berlin to show—and still shows—all films in the original English version.

The comfortable cinema counts as one of the classic Berliner film houses, in which ambitious films are shown. Fans of Woody Allen or Jim Jarmusch will here find their taste. One usually doesn’t purchase the tickets at the box office, at which a cardboard figure sits, but rather at the snack counter. In the foyer, one should definitely have a look at the affectionately designed birthday wall for the stars. And if you’re lucky, you’ll also meet Tilda Swinton live in the Foyer.
