- 12 November 2026
- 7.00 pm
Why is the conflict between Israel and Palestine the subject of such heated debate in Germany in particular? In his book, historian Avner Ofrath examines the historical interconnections, differing experiences and political frameworks of interpretation that continue to shape the conflict to this day. The discussion will also address German responsibility, migration, a sense of belonging and the question of how a more nuanced discourse on Israel and Palestine might be achieved.
Afterwards, Ofrath will speak with Prof. Schüler-Springorum (TU, ZfA) and Lea Frehse (Die Zeit).
(in German)
Admission is free on each occasion; please register via Eventbrite.
