For many German-Jewish families in the 19th and early 20th centuries, an intercultural family celebration at the end of the year was a matter of course. This was also the case for the Liebermann family: in 1908, Max Liebermann wrote to his friend Alfred Lichtwark, ‘[…] I celebrate all festivals, Christian, Jewish and Muslim […]’.

The Liebermann Villa would like to invite you to join us at the Wannsee to celebrate ‘Weihnukka’. The author and Jewish studies scholar Sara Klatt will give a talk tracing the historical and contemporary cultural practices associated with this festival. Afterwards, we look forward to a convivial get-together with you!

  • Doors open: 6.00 pm
  • Start: 6.30 pm

This event is made possible thanks to the support of the Beckschen Foundation.
