On Sunday, 29 November 2026, the Werkbundarchiv – Museum der Dinge will once again be paying special tribute to its ‘object guardians’ and those who wish to become one. Object guardians take on a symbolic sponsorship of objects from the museum’s collection. Sponsorships are linked to a specific donation amount and are valid for one year at a time.

From 3 pm, ‘Object Caretakers’ and anyone interested will have the opportunity, with free admission, to explore the museum or take part in a guided tour of the new permanent exhibition.
From 4 pm, you can chat with the museum team and other guests over coffee and cake.
This year, there is once again the opportunity to choose your own object to ‘adopt’ from among the collection on display and to negotiate the sponsorship fee directly on the spot. Museum staff will be on hand to answer any questions and offer recommendations. If you wish, you can have your photograph taken with your chosen object.
As a thank you for your support, you will receive an ‘Object Care Pass’, which you can use to visit your chosen object in the museum. Upon request, you will be invited to all events.
Object sponsorships can be taken out individually or jointly, for a family, a company or as a gift. The names of the object sponsors will be published on the website and in the museum’s entrance area. Objects can also be selected and reserved directly online.
