From 10 to 14 February 2027, the Velodrom Berlin will host the European Elite Track Cycling Championships.

For the second time since 2017, Europe’s best cyclists will compete for the continental titles on the 250-metre track on Landsberger Allee. Athletes from around 30 nations are expected to take part. At stake are not only medals, but also vital qualification points for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The current German world champions are also expected to take part: Pauline Grabosch, who triumphed in the time trial, and Tim Torn Teutenberg, world champion in the elimination race. Another focus will be on Berlin’s local hero and experienced track cyclist, Roger Kluge.

A total of 26 events will be contested over the five days of competition. Alongside the classic track cycling disciplines, the programme also features derny and stayer races for both women and men. These disciplines have a long tradition, particularly in Berlin, and are hugely popular with the public.

The European Championships thus return to a venue steeped in the tradition of international track cycling: Germany last hosted the continental title competitions in 2022 as part of the European Championships in Munich. The Velodrom Berlin previously hosted the European Championships in 2017 and the Track Cycling World Championships in 2020.
