Hi Freaks: Fritzi Haberlandt & Milan Peschel & the RZt Ensemble

In it, the reactionary Alfred welcomes relatives from the GDR. Not only do the parents of his ‘red’ son-in-law turn up at all, but they also arrive, of all times, whilst coverage of the Football World Cup is in full swing. Worlds collide in typically satirical conflicts. It promises to be a thoroughly cosy affair.

The theatre and film actress Fritzi Haberlandt was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg and at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin under the artistic direction of Armin Petras. She has received numerous awards for her work in film and television, including the German Film Award. In the award-winning ARD series *Babylon Berlin*, Fritzi Haberlandt plays a recurring leading role, as she does in the Amazon series *Deutschland 86* and *Deutschland 89*.

Milan Peschel has worked as an actor in the theatre with directors such as Frank Castorf, Dimiter Gotscheff, Armin Petras, Jan Bosse and René Pollesch. Alongside his theatre work, he has appeared in numerous television and cinema productions. Since 2006, he has regularly directed productions, staging plays in Heidelberg, Hanover and Schwerin, as well as at the Maxim Gorki Theatre and the Deutsches Theater Berlin. During the 2024/25 season, he staged the production *Murder on the Regional Express* at the RambaZamba Theatre.

GOOD TO KNOW:

‘Hi Freaks’ is a series of benefit events organised by the RZt. For over 30 years, actors with disabilities have been working here alongside renowned guests from the German cultural scene to create wild, exciting theatre. Old and new friends of the theatre are invited to read, act or make music together with the ensemble. The proceeds are invested in the theatre’s infrastructure and in the training of new performers.
