The Berlin-based quintet blends acoustic blues, soul, country and folk with North African influences. Alongside the brilliant frontman, percussionist and Algerian-born Fares Mokrani, Friedrich Barniske on rhythm guitar provides a strong vocal counterpart – the perfect foundation for powerful duets.

With Tobias Kummetat, the band features an exceptionally sensitive soloist and blues guitarist who plays the six-string steel-string and slide guitar. Arnd Mechsner on keyboards and organ rounds out the band to form a veritable quintet, to which Berit Jung lends both virtuosity and fabulous depth and groove with her double bass playing.
