The occasion marks the launch of Ute Cohen’s new book *Freedom?! Thinking in Dialogue* (TriMax Media Verlag), which also features a conversation with Roman Lipski. His studio, where classical painting meets new technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum algorithms, will become a venue for an open discussion on what freedom actually means in life.
Jürgen Stollberg, publisher and presenter, will facilitate a discussion between the writers and journalists Ute Cohen and Marko Martin.
The focus is not on abstract concepts of freedom, but on lived experience: personal decisions, impositions, ruptures and the moments in which freedom is gained, squandered or defended.
The conversation takes place amidst Roman Lipski’s latest works. An evening about freedom – which one does not simply possess, but must continually assert.

Sherin P. Spielmann sketches during the reading. In this way, the audience becomes part of the story of Cohen’s Club. Coloured and supplemented with text, the illustrations create a memento of the event, the guests and the central themes of the respective book. All illustrations from other readings can be found at: Cohen’s Club | Sherin.Art
A limited art edition is released to accompany each reading. The first 30 prints are hand-coloured and signed during the event.
