A Night at the Museum and the Creative Workshop

Family Night organises a varied programme of events to which all families from Berlin and the surrounding area are invited.

As part of the event, children will explore the exhibition ‘Vietnam. Art. GDR. Reclaiming Solidarity’ and learn about the special connection between Vietnam and the GDR.

They will explore some of the artworks in more detail and discuss their impressions and thoughts. In the Creative Workshop, they will become artists themselves under guidance. Using a pencil, they will draw a picture of themselves step by step. They will then transfer this sketch onto an acrylic panel and colour it in with oil pastels or acrylic paints. A cityscape of Berlin and colourful washi tape will bring everything together to form a complete work of art, which the children can take home with them.

The aim of the Family Night is to spend a lovely time together as a family, whilst discovering just how diverse Berlin’s cultural scene is and how many people from different origins and backgrounds enrich it.
