Artist Christine Klemke reveals the answer: that’s exactly what happens when we paint.
“When we paint, we immerse ourselves in the poetry of fairy tales. Suddenly, we find ourselves standing next to Little Red Riding Hood as she picks flowers. We look around and see the sun sparkling through the trees. We smell the scent of the flowers and the resinous aroma of the spruce and fir trees.”
Is there someone hiding in that dark bush? Could it be a wolf? Or is it the hunter, checking that all is well? Or the grandmother?
All this happens whilst you’re painting. Before your very eyes, through your own hands, a picture emerges that has never existed before. One that you’ve painted yourselves.
To make sure it all works out, the artist Christine Klemke will be there. She’ll show you, for example, what Little Red Riding Hood might look like, or the wolf, or how to paint really beautiful, sturdy trees.
That way, everyone will be able to take a wonderful fairy-tale picture home with them. Your family will be amazed at what you’ve already learnt to do.
