Maibishow: Tap-dancing violin meets singing trombone
Violinist Marijn Seiffert and trombonist Gilbert Millich will delight the audience with tango, swing and Hungarian folk dance. Musical finesse, humour and rousing tap dancing, presented by the Children’s Philharmonic.

A whirlwind tour through ‘BerlinZEIT’
This family-friendly tour takes you on an easy-to-follow and entertaining journey through the permanent exhibition on the history of Berlin. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to try things out and experience the exhibition with all your senses.

Franciscans on the Spree: Memory & the Present
To mark the 800th anniversary of the death of Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order, Brother Johannes Küpper OFM and historian Susanne Knackmuß will discuss a Berlin institution. Around 1250, Franciscan monks built a church and monastery in Berlin. From 1574 to 1945, the site was home to the ‘Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster’ secondary school.

Creative workshop with Ximena Ferrer Pizarro
To accompany the special exhibition ‘A Divided Life: Art and Migration in Berlin’, artist Ximena Ferrer Pizarro offers insights into her work. She demonstrates how to experiment freely with colour and materials without fear of making mistakes. No prior experience is required. Just pop in and join in!

Biedermeier Meeting Point
Insights into the everyday life of Berlin’s population two hundred years ago. Back then, the Knoblauch family played an important role. Today, you can explore their former home, now a museum.
Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel
On the first Sunday of every month, the three museums in the Nikolaiviertel offer a packed programme for everyone. Families in particular are warmly invited – admission is free for anyone under 18 or eligible for a concession.
So look forward to some great activities at the Ephraim-Palais, the Nikolaikirche and the Knoblauchhaus.

The hands-on activities in the Museum Lab and Salon at the Ephraim Palais, as well as in the Children’s Salon at the Knoblauchhaus, are free for everyone.
The solidarity-based pricing model offers free admission to adults with proof of eligibility for a concession, including students, apprentices, those undertaking FSJ, FÖJ and BFD placements, people with severe disabilities, refugees, recipients of Bürgergeld or ALG I, and many others.
Everyone else pays only the museum admission fee and can benefit from the particularly good value combined ticket for all three museums. The extensive programme of events on the day is included in the price!
