The artist Olga Monina invites you to join her in picking them and preparing them into special dishes using family recipes. The event concludes with a harvest thanksgiving feast, a communal meal served from her ceramic vessels.
Olga Monina’s practice combines painting, ceramics, text and cooking. History and folklore, language, and depictions of animals and vegetables form her source material. In her paintings, ethereal figures populate the space and communicate via dripping letters. Her anthropomorphic vessels straddle the line between sculpture and functional objects. Through them, she explores the function of ritual in a secularised society. As part of the series *Glücksfütterung*, she combines objects and food into symbolic arrangements and performative dinner events, during which guests eat and drink from the vessels and are encouraged to treat them with tenderness. The dishes draw on personal memories and trace their historical interconnections; the table thus becomes a place where food politics is negotiated.
