Punk rock as a promise: childish nihilism, bad behaviour and a hell of a lot of fun. The Good, The Bad and The Zugly – GBZ for short – have never claimed to want to save the world. Instead, for years the Norwegians have been bringing black humour, dirty guitar riffs and the unbridled energy of Oslo punk rock to the stage.
Six studio albums and more than a decade of notorious live shows later, the band may well have reached middle age – but that doesn’t mean they’ve become any more grown-up, quieter or even sensible. GBZ remain true to their uncompromising sound and anarchic attitude, turning every gig into a mix of mayhem, absurdity and pure punk rock fun.
