The Piano Duo Festival Berlin is dedicated to free and experimental improvisation on two grand pianos. Berlin-based and internationally invited pianists meet in an unconventional setting outside the traditional concert format, engaging in musical dialogue without predetermined stylistic boundaries. The festival aims to make this form of music accessible to new audiences while also appealing to established audiences from the classical, contemporary, jazz and improvised music scenes. Three outstanding piano duos each evening, with pianists travelling from Austria, Sweden, the USA, Germany and Switzerland.
