On 26 March, the earth splits open, and with Heiko, it is not only a man believed to be dead who reappears, but with him the memory of a distant past and its ghosts, which refuse to let go of the present.

When the spoil buried Heiko, the world still seemed a different place and coal was black gold. Today, the undead stands there, in a new era and a beautiful world amongst lakes, forests and the grass that grows over everything. Using the tools of contemporary music and the art of puppetry, a historical self-playing piano and mechanical theatre, puppeteer Moritz Schönbrodt and composer Johannes Kürschner create an intense theatrical experience about the failure to forget the past.
