Peace activists from Israel and Palestine

What happens when two people who have lost close family members in the Middle East conflict choose reconciliation over revenge? This is the story told by the Palestinian Aziz Abu Sarah and the Israeli Maoz Inon in their joint book *The Future is Peace* – and they are now bringing their bestseller to Berlin.

Maoz and Aziz have already made a huge splash internationally: in 2025 they met Pope Leo XIV and in 2024 Pope Francis. Their joint appearance on *The Daily Show* reached an audience of millions, and their book became a *New York Times* bestseller. They also spoke to the Mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, about their story and their vision of peace.

On 20 October, the pair will be performing in the German-speaking world for the first time – making their debut at the Atze Musiktheater in Berlin.

Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah are united by a similar fate. Aziz Abu Sarah lost his brother in the first Intifada, whilst Maoz Inon lost his parents on 7 October. Despite this – or perhaps precisely because of it – they became peace activists. In *The Future is Peace*, they take us on their shared journey through Israel and Palestine, sharing their vision of peace and mutual recognition along the way.

Experience the two authors live and exclusively at their German premiere in Berlin and join them in conversation.

From 17 September, *The Future is Peace* will also be available in German – translated by Ursula Kömen and published by Altneuland Press.
