Klangwerkstatt Berlin 2026
Composed between 1998 and 2008, the work anticipates developments that now shape everyday life: the shift of experiences into digital spaces, the distance between action and consequence, and the creeping disembodiment of social relationships.
The work unfolds a tapestry of voices, space and movement. The layer originally conceived for live performers whose movements were only perceptible via mirrors is realised as a video in this production. This intensifies the exploration of simulation, presence and absence. Rasch’s work takes a critical look at a present in which digital devices increasingly shape our experiential spaces – and asks what happens to the sensory, emotional and social self in the process.
With the kind support of the Karin and Uwe Hollweg Foundation, Bremen.
