How can provenance research form part of a permanent exhibition and other exhibition projects? How can hidden collection histories be made accessible to visitors?
This will be discussed by Mathilde Heitmann-Taillefer, Curator for Research, Academic Collaboration and Provenance Research at the Museum Folkwang, and the project team behind ‘Making Visible – Traces of Jewish Engagement at the MdbK’ at the Museum of Fine Arts, Leipzig: Dr Ulrike Saß, Sharon Adler and Shlomit Lehavi.
Art, Looting and Restitution – Forgotten Life Stories is a project by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation and the Dresden State Art Collections in cooperation with the German Centre for Lost Cultural Property.
It is funded as part of the federal programme ‘Demokratie leben!’ by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, as well as by the Friede Springer Foundation.
