International Short Film Festival Berlin – FOCUS ON: SHARED SHORES
Voices remind people that they once existed: they carry within them memories, hopes, questions and relationships. Six films follow in their footsteps through cities, houses, landscapes and imagined worlds. Filmmakers from Haiti and the Dominican Republic draw on personal experiences to create spaces of resonance that withstand contradictions, explore the fragile connections between family, identity, place and belonging – and in which stories never remain confined to their boundaries.
