International Short Film Festival Berlin - GERMAN COMPETITION
What holds us in place? How much freedom can we actually take? The accustomed order of things begins to unravel here – in prison cells, dog baskets, wellness hotels and small-town lesbian bars. For some, grappling with political repression, the desire to belong or their own voluntary confinement, the urge to break out gains the upper hand – on the massage table, inside an automobile or at the end of a tight leash – while others long to revisit the familiar or find comfort in unexpected communities.
