Photography can amaze, unsettle or convince. It is not only the subject that shapes our perception – the material and context also play a decisive role. Whether on paper or on a screen, in an album or on the wall: every form of presentation alters the way we view the image.
The Museum of Photography’s next major exhibition is dedicated to these different materialities of photography. To this end, the curators have re-examined the collection and made some surprising discoveries. At this ‘Up Close!’ evening event, they will offer insights into the creation of the exhibition and present selected objects up close and unframed.
- Admission and participation are free of charge.
- No booking required.
