A block of flats. A place made up of a stairwell, 11 doors, corridors, 8 people, perhaps more. No windows and a very distinct smell. The same street, the same sunrise: for some, the day is just beginning; for others, it is just ending; for yet others, it stands still.

Everyday life goes on. Children play in the courtyard, one person hangs out the washing, another hurries out of a door. Teenagers showing their stomachs whilst drinking Monster. An argument echoes through the stairwell. The café on the ground floor is unlocked. Two people kiss. Doors open and slam shut.

You don’t choose your neighbours. Bodies that almost meet, miss each other, mirror one another, and yet still have a tangible influence on one another. Every second is full of stories – and every story has several doors.
