As part of Open Monuments Day, Barrack 13 will be open continuously to individual visitors on 12 and 13 September, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm each day. Multilingual guides will be on hand to answer questions.
Barrack 13 was one of the first buildings in the camp to be erected, starting in 1943. Between 1944 and 1945, it housed Italian military internees and civilian workers. This is evidenced by numerous inscriptions bearing names and dates, which can be viewed in the building’s cellar.
