Reading with singing
Three actors invite you to a literary and musical evening that presents Astrid Lindgren from a lesser-known perspective: during the Second World War, the then 25-year-old Astrid Lindgren kept a war diary.
These entries were later published under the title ‘Humanity Has Lost Its Mind’. They recount her thoughts, hopes and concerns in the face of a world at war.
The reading combines these personal accounts with extracts from Lindgren’s books, painting a portrait of an attentive observer of her time.
Five songs – from the ‘Wolf Song’ from *Ronia the Robber’s Daughter* to ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ – provide the musical backdrop to the evening.
