Works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn
Since 2024, Nabil Shehata has been conducting the Barenboim-Said Academy Orchestra, with which he has close ties as a professor of double bass and a former member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.

ORCHESTER DER BARENBOIM-SAID AKADEMIE
Following concerts featuring works by Mozart, Schumann, Wagner, Schoenberg and others, the young musicians can now be heard performing Mendelssohn’s ‘Scottish Symphony’.
The soloists in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto are Nathalia Milstein, a graduate of the Barenboim-Said Academy, and Mohamed Hiber and Astrig Siranossian, both long-standing members of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.
