ETERNITY is the new film by Susanne Regina Meures and the first film to bring Florentina Holzinger’s art to the big screen. It poses the pressing question of our time: What do we do about our guilt toward a dying planet?

To turn their backs on a world ravaged by war and climate collapse, a group of friends flees to the end of the world—into the eternal ice. Under the blazing sun, they celebrate the last fleeting moments of hedonistic freedom. But their escapist vision of happiness is doomed to failure. Together, they decide to set out in search of redemption and, in doing so, plunge into unimagined abysses.

Florentina Holzinger is an Austrian choreographer and performance artist. In her work, extreme physical conditions meet theatrical precision—with the aim of exploring the limits of what the body is capable of. Her practice spans the disciplines of dance, performance, opera, and theater, while simultaneously engaging critically with their respective traditions. In this way, Holzinger brings institutionalized “high culture” into contact with pop and countercultural influences, blurring the lines between spectacle and subversion.

Susanne Regina Meures is a German-Swiss director whose works combine pop culture and art with political and social issues. With films such as *Raving Iran*, *Saudi Runaway*, and *Girl Gang*, she premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and the Berlinale; her works have screened at over 200 film festivals worldwide. She has received numerous awards, including a European Film Award. Her films have also been licensed by streaming services such as Disney and Netflix.
