It’s election season! On November 22, 1924, a new form of political-proletarian “entertainment” propaganda premiered in Berlin, in what was then the outlying district of Pankow: a Red Revue—a montage that unscrupulously drew on every possible means of expression, including music, clowning, projections, theatrical scenes, and political speeches. The director was Erwin Piscator, the screenplay was written by Felix Gasbarra, and the music was composed by Edmund Meisel.

100 years later, in the here and now: Elections are being held again in Berlin. And we invite you to the second “Revue Roter Rummel.” A multimedia election theater featuring sketches, music, dance, and film awaits you.
