Mrs. King has a powerful, expressive voice full of soul and blues. With her charismatic presence, she captivates the audience in the blink of an eye. She can sing tenderly, and she can sing with grit, in the style of Etta James, Billie Holiday, or Ruth Brown.

Hildesheim-based pianist Marius Labsch is a rising star in the German boogie-woogie scene. The German Blues Award winner skillfully pounds out his grooves on the 88 keys.

Frank Rihm from Bremen, one of Germany’s finest blues harp players, is also on board; he has been impressing audiences for many years with his masterful, delicate playing.

Three-time German Blues Award winner Andreas Bock from Jeinsen rounds out the lineup with his accomplished, versatile blues drumming.

Anyone who experienced the first Boogie Night in 2024 will have vivid memories of him: Niels von der Leyen. He is now one of the most sought-after boogie-woogie and blues pianists in Germany. Starting out as a self-taught musician who turned his passion for this energetic and rousing jazz style into a profession, he now tours throughout Europe both as a solo artist and with his “Niels von der Leyen Trio” and the “Blues & Boogie Kings.” In his solo program, he showcases the music of the pioneers of boogie-woogie and also presents the audience with new and original compositions of his own.
