Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin

Melody and Remembrance: This concert is dedicated to moving works by composers whose music is inextricably linked to persecution, remembrance, and hope.

The program will feature compositions by Gideon Klein and Viktor Ullmann, which were composed at the Theresienstadt concentration camp before their creators were murdered, as well as works by the composers Mieczysław Weinberg and Dmitri Shostakovich, who were persecuted in the Soviet Union.

The program is complemented by the music of the Ukrainian master Valentyna Sylvestrov. An impressive concert evening full of depth, humanity, and musical remembrance
