The horrific Nazi crimes against humanity have long been recorded in history books, but have we truly come to terms with them—personally and as a society? Without encounters with eyewitnesses or visits to memorial sites, the Holocaust risks being forgotten and becoming lost in abstraction.

Together with the choreographic team of Stefan Hahn and Rafaela Molina, the dancers of Perform[d]ance’s youth company embark on a quest for a new culture of remembrance with this production. The piece opens up space for emotions—activist in nature, broadening perspectives, and striking deep to the core. Dance has a unique way of addressing moments that evoke speechlessness and deep emotion, prompting the audience to engage with these issues. The dancing body, as it remembers, enters situations of raw violence, moments of defiance, resistance, and simply being human.

The themes of *Nothing Is Forgotten* are a significant part of the history of the country in which we are growing up. However, grappling with these themes while developing our production was an interesting and emotionally demanding process for all of us. During this time, we felt particularly keenly just how much community and solidarity can mean and achieve—both then and now. Engaging with the testimonies of eyewitnesses and the solo pieces we developed in response will remain a special memory for us.

We must not forget what we humans are capable of! Whether driven by hatred, fear, or stupidity, the crimes of the Nazis must not be forgotten and must never be repeated!
