During the most wonderful time of the year, a classic shines in new splendor: Andrea Sawatzki and Christian Berkel—two of Germany’s best-known actors—treat the audience to their interpretation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Together, they lend impressive voice and depth to the touching tale of the hard-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge, who, through three ghosts, comes to understand the meaning of compassion and humanity.

Andrea Sawatzki is one of Germany’s most renowned actresses. She is best known, among other roles, for playing Inspector Charlotte Sänger on *Tatort*. In addition to her acting career, she is a successful author of several novels, including the bestsellers *Brunnenstraße* and her new novel, *Biarritz*.

Christian Berkel is a multi-award-winning actor and bestselling author. He has appeared in international productions such as *Inglourious Basterds* and *Downfall*. His autobiographically inspired novels *Der Apfelbaum* and *Ada* were enthusiastically received by both the press and the public.

David Orlowsky is an internationally acclaimed clarinetist and composer. As the founder of the David Orlowsky Trio, he has made a name for himself with stylistically diverse music. Today, he performs solo programs and chamber music recitals at venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, Carnegie Hall, and the Salzburg Festival.
