Guided Tour Archive

At this year’s Long Night of Museums, themed “Crime in Berlin,” visitors to the Academy Building on Pariser Platz can look forward to numerous guided tours that offer a glimpse behind the scenes.

In addition to architectural tours, the art collection’s underground storage facility will showcase which crimes have been immortalized in paintings and which paintings themselves have fallen victim to crime.

The exhibition storage facility offers a special glimpse into the outstanding collection of architectural models. Traces of crime and the justice system have been discovered there as well.

The library focuses on historical criminal cases and Berlin prisons, and in the reading room, visitors can explore hidden stories and nearly forgotten writings from the Academy of Arts’ archives.

The Bilderkeller, with its unique examples of postwar modernist art from the GDR, is open. And, of course, we warmly invite you once again to visit our bar on the rooftop terrace, which offers a spectacular view of the Brandenburg Gate.

In keeping with the Long Night’s theme, “Crime in Berlin,” the Academy of Arts on Pariser Platz will showcase traces of crime and justice in the art collection’s storage facility, in the architecture model exhibition, in the library, and in the reading room. In addition, the Bilderkeller will be open, as will the rooftop terrace bar with a view of the Brandenburg Gate.
