Isaak (Otto Tausig), a native of Vienna, has lived in Brooklyn for over 30 years. His best friend, Moshe (Jakov Bodo), is Polish and married to the resolute Genovefa (Zofia Merle). The couple plans to travel to their homeland for Christmas, and Isaak is supposed to look after their cats. But then, because of his boss’s shady dealings, Isaak flees—of all places—onto the very ship on which his friend and his wife are traveling to Poland. The beginning of a shared odyssey.
