Concert, Dance, DJ Set, Exhibition, Guided Tour, Party

Once again this year, the Humboldt Forum is taking part in Berlin’s Long Night of Museums. You are warmly welcome from 6 pm. As dusk falls, rainbow-coloured illuminated portals will lead you into the Schlüterhof.

In the foyer, the beats of Emo Rugene will create the perfect atmosphere for dancing or relaxing. The evening will be accompanied by a digital sea of colours, created for you by our cosmographer.

Discover the whole complex in a single night: programmes from the Humboldt Forum Foundation at Berlin Palace, de Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin – including the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art – the BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition by the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin, and the On Water exhibition by Humboldt University of Berlin.

Connect with the globe on an interactive tour of BERLIN GLOBAL and experience how Berlin has always been intertwined with the world. The exhibitions at the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art offer diverse perspectives on the past and present cultures of Africa, Asia and Oceania.

Descend into the palace cellars and discover the oldest artefacts relating to the site’s history. The exhibition spans from the Middle Ages to the present day and features original figures from the historic palace façade in the Sculpture Hall. The video panorama provides an impressive overview of the site’s history.

During the Long Night, short guided tours offer insights into selected works of art and collections. Exciting stories, surprising perspectives and plenty of opportunity to ask questions are all included.

Until 8 pm, you can also visit the roof terrace and enjoy the view over Berlin’s city centre.

Anyone wishing to get to know the museums from behind the scenes can explore the various Friends’ groups. In the Schlüterhof and at the exhibition entrances, they will be presenting their work and inviting visitors on a special tour through the collections.

The Lebenswelten bistro, the KERB Food Market and the Baret restaurant are open until midnight. The foyer bar serves drinks until 1.30 am.

And if you’d like to carry on afterwards: the Technikmuseum’s ‘Rolling Museum’ will take you directly from the Humboldt Forum to the Deutsches Technikmuseum in historic vehicles.

Do come along – we look forward to seeing you, your friends and your family!
