Take a look behind the usually closed doors of the Mariendorf depot. This guided tour invites you to discover remarkable works of art. The works explore the industrial history of West Berlin through art: Industry in Art. The focus is on the period of reconstruction following World War II.

Participants will gain insights into the interplay between art, labor, and urban transformation. From 1951 to 2003, Berlin supported artists by commissioning works for public institutions, including schools, hospitals, and government offices. A foundation affiliated with the Stadtmuseum Berlin is currently cataloging the collection.
This event is part of the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival.

The Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival offers you the chance to experience the city in a whole new way. From 12 September to 4 October, around 100 events will bring the visible and invisible heritage of industrialisation to life.
