The Documentation Center for Flight, Expulsion, and Reconciliation will open its doors on August 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. for the 2026 Long Night of Museums, under this year’s theme, “Crime.”

Discover a unique place of remembrance and education—with a diverse program featuring short guided tours, readings, performances, creative activities, and music. Look forward to quiz tours, family history workshops, mystical figures on stilts, and electronic, classical, and traditional music. There’s something for everyone!

The Documentation Center explores the theme of “Crime” in a variety of ways: through moving stories, thrilling crime fiction readings, artistic presentations, themed tours, and a search for clues in Sütterlin script. A special culinary experience also awaits you—featuring specialties from Kreuzberger Himmel.
