The Word Contest for Children
Just like at a poetry slam for adults, well-known stage poets compete against each other with their poems. The children in the audience rate the performances and decide who gets the crown.
The rules are: no props, only original texts without AI, and please, please don’t be boring. Poetry slam champion Lars Ruppel hosts the event.
Typical of a poetry slam: You never know what’s going to happen, because there are no rules regarding form or content. There’s rhyming and storytelling—it gets serious and funny, loud and quiet. A poetry slam isn’t just reading aloud; here, words come to life.
