Symphony Concert: Heras-Casado & Lisiecki
It took Robert Schumann four attempts to compose his ideal piano concerto. His goal: an equal dialogue between soloist and orchestra. In the Concerto in A minor, he realized this vision—the piano and orchestra merge into true partners.
For his famous Fifth Symphony, Ludwig van Beethoven needed only a few notes: a striking knocking motif, unbridled energy, and musical consistency. With his sensitive puppetry, Nikolaus Habjan opens up an additional poetic perspective on these great works.
