Opera Gala – German Romanticism

Klaus Florian Vogt brings an extraordinary blend of emotional depth and radiant high notes to Wagner’s great heroic roles—from Lohengrin and Tannhäuser to Parsifal and Siegfried.

Richard Wagner’s music, in which the orchestra itself becomes the great narrator, unfolds an impressive soundscape at the Konzerthaus Berlin alongside works by Carl Maria von Weber and Franz Lehár: a musical cathedral full of drama, longing, and grandeur.

Ulf Schirmer will conduct the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. Klaus Florian Vogt already shares a special Wagnerian history with this orchestra: in 2012, he sang a deeply moving Lohengrin as part of the major Wagner cycle conducted by Marek Janowski and documented on CD.

Klaus Florian Vogt performs as a guest artist at the world’s most prestigious opera houses and at renowned festivals such as the Bayreuth and Salzburg Festivals. The multi-award-winning tenor was most recently honored as “Best Singer” at the 2025 Oper! Awards. Particularly as Wagner’s Grail Knight Lohengrin, he is considered today one of the most compelling voices of his generation—with a charisma and authenticity that bring this role to life in a special way.
