Vienna Johann Strauss Concert Gala

It embodies joie de vivre, elegance, and Viennese charm: the “Vienna Johann Strauss Concert Gala.” Since 1996, this original production—featuring Matthias Georg Kendlinger’s K&K Philharmonic—has been delighting international audiences. More than 1.5 million people in 19 European countries have already been enchanted by this musical tribute to the Strauss dynasty.

Founded by Matthias Georg Kendlinger—the founder of the K&K Philharmonic, the K&K Ballet, and the K&K Opera Choir—the concert series is now one of the most successful of its kind. Kendlinger revamps the program annually and regularly takes the conductor’s podium himself; alternatively, Max Kendlinger, Taras Lenko, and Ihor Muravyov assume musical direction.

The K&K Ballet can also be seen in Berlin, bringing the music to life with lively choreography. In addition to the Strauss family’s timeless waltzes and polkas, the program also features rare pieces—all accompanied by the series’ characteristic humor.

Of course, the major highlights are not to be missed: the “Danube Waltz” and the traditional encore, the “Radetzky March.” A celebration full of glamour, lightheartedness, and musical joie de vivre.
