Maffay and Oerding will embark on a major arena tour this coming October to promote their album “Nashville,” and they’ll also be performing at the Uber Arena in Berlin.

Pre-orders for the album and advance ticket sales for the tour are now open.

The first single, “Ein Leben lang ist nicht lang,” was released on June 26.

“Nashville” is the result of a deep connection between two artists that has grown over the years.

Maffay and Oerding have been friends for many years.

Their first interactions took place in connection with Peter Maffay’s MTV Unplugged project, and later the two met repeatedly both on and off stage.

Among their best-known collaborations is the duet “Wenn wir uns wiedersehen”; Oerding also accompanied Maffay on his major farewell tour in 2024 and reinterpreted the classic “Eiszeit” for his final album.

What began as a casual encounter between two musicians who had known and respected each other for a long time gradually developed into something bigger.

At some point in their conversation, Maffay and Oerding realized that, despite their different musical worlds, they share the same core—rock ’n’ roll, rhythm and blues, country rock, and a love for handcrafted, narrative music.

“Nashville” was recorded live last year at the renowned Blackbird Studio in Nashville—a city that has always breathed Americana, country, and classic songwriting.

In just five days, they created an album that never falls into country clichés but instead embraces this influence as an attitude:

close to the instruments, the voices, and the songs, while unmistakably carrying the DNA of both artists.
