Special focus is placed on the Asian Diaspora this year, with particular emphasis on the Japanese community.
Composers and musicians such as Nina Fukuoka and Yoko Konishi are featured alongside influential electronic artists including Kyoka, Miki Yui, Tomoko Sauvage and Midori Hirano, offering a sonic experience that spans experimental electronic pop and poetic sound exploration.
In “Nova Atlantis”, Miako Klein and Jia Lim create a musical experience suspended between Barock and electronics.
A sound installation by Anouk Kellner permeates the room’s architecture, with a breathing organism made from algorithmically controlled inflatable textile sculptures and a multitude of organ pipes.
Celebrated Polish Ensemble Spółdzielnia Muzyczna celebrate their festival debut with a premiere of Yoko Konishi’s “Motus Umbra” alongside current works by Żaneta Rydzewska and Barbara Zach.
A multifaceted spectrum of innovative performances and scenic productions unfold in dialogue with emerging composers including Eloain Lovis Hübner, Marie Delprat and Leah Muir, whose works combine instrumental, electronic and performative elements.
A special highlight is a portrait concert of the Berlin composer Iris ter Schiphorst.
With interpretations of early and contemporary works, ensemble mosaik offers a multifaceted insight into her compositional oeuvre which evolved over decades, developing between radical sound exploration, performative intensity, and precise political and poetic treatment of material.
