Ki i te: Japan, Art Nouveau, Jazz
For many cultures, Japan has been and remains a significant source of inspiration—spiritually, philosophically, and artistically.
The program by mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska and her piano partner Hikaru Kanki not only offers a rare opportunity to experience songs by Japanese composers in Berlin, but also serves as a musical reflection on the intense cultural exchange between Japan, Europe, and North America in the 20th and 21st centuries.
