A lively journey of discovery through the entire building, featuring Anatolian music, performance, film, and dance
For what began as a coexistence of so-called guest worker music and the musical culture of West Germany’s majority society is now more than just interwoven; it shapes everyday musical life down to the farthest corners of the country. The Kreuzberg Festival serves as a platform for the perspectives of the third and fourth generations—the children and grandchildren of so-called guest workers.
At İÇ İÇE, Anatolian music from this era meets performance, dance, conversation, and shared experience—beyond labels. Every June, thousands flock to the grounds of the Festsaal Kreuzberg to celebrate diversity, empowerment, and a sense of community.
Now, İÇ İÇE is setting out on a journey of discovery throughout the entire venue, from stage to stage, into the foyers, and into the Konzerthaus Café—spreading its infectious vibes. Because nostalgia and curiosity are good for each other.
Confirmed so far are the joint project by German-Iranian rising star MADANii and a concert by Kurdish soul-stirrer Ali Doğan Gönültaş.
More concerts, DJ sets, readings, performances, and film screenings will follow shortly. In cooperation with I˙Ç I˙ÇE
