String Quartets by Schubert, Shostakovich, and Zinovjev
Since the 2023/24 season, the Leonkoro Quartet has been a regular guest at the Pierre Boulez Saal, and with its own concert series at the Vienna Konzerthaus, this multi-award-winning ensemble—founded as recently as 2019—has now firmly established itself among the elite of the chamber music world.
The four musicians’ latest program features famous works by Schubert and Shostakovich, as well as the first string quartet by the young Finnish composer Sauli Zinovjev, written especially for them.
