Spread over two evenings, their works mark a professional debut: not a student project, but a confident entry into the world of contemporary dance and performance.
The eleven artists are Hayden Bouvet, Yooha Cheon, Marta Crespo, Anllel Maria, A.E.Z. Pinay, REYER, Rafael Gabryelle Reinata Ferreira, Xiao Chuyue, Thalia Stone, Elias Klark, and Doğa Ak.
At the SNDO, students complete their studies by developing two independent works, writing a thesis, and completing a professional internship. Presenting these works at venues outside the school before a live audience, on professional stages, is a central component of the school’s philosophy. This evening is exactly that.
The SNDO was founded in Amsterdam in 1975 and offers a four-year Bachelor’s program in choreography. The school was established with the aim of exploring new directions in dance beyond the dominant forms of its time, and after nearly fifty years remains curious, open, and at the forefront of progressive developments in dance and performance.
The curriculum centers on artistic freedom, critical reflection, and a deep engagement with the body as a site of artistic, political, and ethical inquiry.
The works you will experience on these two evenings are as diverse as the artists who created them.
