Saturday, May 30, is all about women’s basketball. As part of a FLINTA* tournament and various hands-on activities, the court will be open to anyone who wants to get involved. The focus is on friendly competition and a love for the sport—the perfect kickoff for the tournament the following day.
Sunday, May 31, brings the sporting highlight: In the official 3x3 qualifying tournament, teams from all over Germany will compete against each other in both the women’s and men’s competitions to secure a spot in the German Championship. The games will be played in the dynamic half-court format—an urban style of basketball that originated in streetball and has now established itself internationally.
Participation in the qualifying tournament is not tied to prior qualifications. Interested teams can register independently via the FIBA 3x3 platform and compete as a three-player team. Balls will be provided. However, teams must bring their own alternate jerseys. Further information about the event and registration is available on the FIBA 3x3 platform.
Strong Partners for Sports and Inclusion
The tournament is organized by the Berliner Basketball Verband e. V. in collaboration with SpOrt365 and the Center am Potsdamer Platz. SpOrt365 provides the courts and baskets and supports the event on-site. As a public initiative at the intersection of sports and youth social work, SpOrt365 stands for participation, inclusion, and prevention, and actively incorporates this perspective into the event.
